2nd time here. Quick and kind service. Just good poutine man! We've tried a few different ones and they don't disappoint

When I was visiting Vancouver, I really wanted to try some authentic Canadian poutine since I had heard a lot about the dish. After doing some research online, I saw that many people suggested checking out La Belle Patate for some good poutine. While the store is on the smaller side, it wasn't crowded when I went and so we were able to easily find a seat here. For my dish, I decided to go with the Smoked Meat Poutine which contains pieces of Montreal smoked meat along with fries, cheese curds, and gravy. This was a great dish, as the smoked meat was tender and had a lot of flavor while they gave a good amount of gravy as well. The cheese curds were also well-done and the fries were pretty crispy too. The portions are pretty sizable here, so it's definitely enough for one person! If you want to check out poutine in Canada, this place is a solid choice!

A line to get in, always a good sign. Glad I was at the front of it! Very cool atmosphere imagine hockey meets Sirius Turbo. Friendly staff but most importantly the poutine! Best in the area by far and very reasonable priced. A hole in the wall vibe suitably located in the heart of Davie Village. Viva la Canadian poutine!

If you want your fix of poutine, and you want options galore, this is the place to go! You cannot visit Canada and not poutine it everywhere. But this was by far one of the best poutine's we tried. My boyfriend had the La belle poutine which he felt was a little bit salty, but I thought it was delicious. I had the traditional poutine and it was perfect. This is definitely the place to go to get your poutine fix!!!

My daughter and I (especially my daughter) love poutine. I'd heard good things about La Belle Patate and we finally managed to get out and try it. She had The Traditional poutine and I had the Vegetarian poutine. They do make a pretty solid poutine. I'd say it's better than New York Fries for sure. However, we both felt that we'd had better poutine. Couldn't quite put my foot on what exactly it was that kept this poutine from being an awesome poutine. This one's pretty good though if you're on that stretch of Davie St. and in the mood for a poutine.

This was our first meal in Vancouver and you know we HAD to get poutine! We were all starving after a day of traveling so this really hit the spot for us. What we got: Pascal's (chicken & green onion)- this was everyone's top pick Steak & Pepperoni- loved the onions and bell peppers it came with Smoked meat- we actually anticipated that this was going to be the best one but the meats needed a bit more flavor or smokiness for all of us. Overall, the poutine all tasted really yummy. The texture of the fries and the melted cheese curds were so comforting. I also loved that there were just so many options of toppings and meats. The workers were nice and the food came out fast. The only downside was that it was really hot when we went and they had no A/C so we were melting as we were eating.

Lovely Québécois style hot dog and poutine place. We had a couple of steamers and a smoked meat poutine and were transported back to Montreal. The person who took our order and served us was very nice. The food was excellent. I'd definitely come back here.

This hit the spot. I was being a tourist and had stopped by the gay bar up the street. I looked up on Yelp's nearest place to get poutine and this place popped up. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quick and hot. The restaurant is very casual. I ordered the most basic and traditional poutine. I got the small portion and it was the perfect size.

Do you like a richer dark gravy with chunks of cheese curds in your poutine, then this is the place for you. The smoked brisket was wonderfully tender. Seating is limited but can accommodate smaller groups. Service was quick, not the friendliest.

Cheese Curds, anyone? Really great place to get Poutine in downtown Vancouver. Fresh cheese curds are a thing in Wisconsin, so have been able to get decent poutine while living there in the past. But poutine is a Canadian thing, so was looking forward to getting some on our Vancouver visit in April '24. My daughter did some research and came up with La Belle Patate as the place to go if staying in downtown. We came soon after it opened on a Sunday, and it was already getting crowded. The menu is displayed as multiple boards above the registers, and we placed and paid for our orders using a credit card. It took about 5 minutes for the food to be ready. The poutine comes in 3 different sizes. Smoked Meat Poutine (L) - $17: the chunks of meat is called Montreal Smoked Meat Brisket, and it tasted like pastrami. It was good, very little fat, not too tender. The cheese curds were broken up into its natural size, without needing to clump and were slightly heated. The brown gravy was not too thick and had the right seasoning. The fries were decent, thick cut and deep fried. This allowed each bite to have the right mix of warm cheese, gravy, and french fries. Of course, the fries got soggy so the best bites are the ones immediately after being made. We also got a Regular Poutine ($11) to go, and my daughter reported later that night, it was a great meal, even reheated. Did I mention that the brown gravy here is advertised to be vegetarian? Not sure how they do that, but wish we could use the same recipe for other brown gravy needs like Loco Moco and pot roast. Both white and malt vinegar were available, and as expected, it went well with the fries and meat. The dishes are very shareable, so makes sense to get bigger sizes to get better value, Was thinking if the combo of meat, cheese, and gravy would work on a baked potato...but I don't think it would be the same. Somehow the deep fried potatoes, even though losing its crunch, still adds that 'je ne sais quoi' that makes it a unique dish. La Belle excludes an establishment that has gotten its routine down pat, knowing it has the right product, at the right price, for both locals and tourists.
